How do you know why He created you and why you are here? That has been my thoughts for a while now. Why was I created. The scriptures says that we were created for good works. Everything in us was created for use for God's glory. His masterpiece for his master plan. When you were conceived in your mothers womb, God already knew who you were and the plans that he had for you.  Scripture says, that the plans he has for us are of good and not of evening to give us a hope and an expected end. So you may be going through a time of transition or phase in your life and you wonder, God where are you! 
We are in this life as sojourners. As we pass through we may hit some bumps along the way and some road blocks. You have to remember that this roadblocks are not there to stop you from achieving your goals and your purpose, but they are there to prune you and encourage you. So if you are wondering what your purpose is in life or why is it hard to get where you need to go, remember that your purpose is sometimes found in the all that you may have gone through. Take sometime and pray to ask for direction from God. He is a good good father. Her will lead you in the way to go.

The creation is waiting for your manifestation and the manifestation of the church. Who is the church? We are the church and the world is waiting on us to arise and begin to be about our father's business. What are you doing in life. Is your vision and your mission in life in line with God's purpose for you.  A lot of people strive to find what their purpose is and most times do not  know what it is or why and what it is or understand what it is they need to be doing that would 
complete their life's purpose. Do you feel fulfilled with life? Are you chasing the right job or business. Are you having a sense of yearning that nothing you have done have been able to fulfil, then you need to ask yourself and search your heart are in line with God's purpose for your life? 
So what do you do to fulfill this longing. 
1) You need to have a vision - Take time to write down a vision for yourself, your family and ministry. Decide what you want to do in life.  2) Align your purpose with God purpose.
3) Stay focused on the goal and not deviate from it no matter how difficult it may be for it to manifest. Manifestation of God's purpose in your is definite if your stay focused. Finally pray continually on your vision and your goals. 
The world is waiting for your manifestation and you will manifest in Jesus name. Sometimes because of the pressures of life and what we may be going through, the first thing we do is always seek the wisdom of man or the help of man (pastors, friends, family, in-laws, counselors etc.). But the scripture lets us know in Proverbs 3:5-6 to, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Do not depend on your own understanding. In all your ways remember him. Then he will make your paths smooth and straight." Why seek man when God can take care of you. One thing we do not realize is that the help of man is never what we need but the divine wisdom of God that can lead us out of every bad situation. When you take your problems to man, they can judge you and look down on you and criticize you, but God cannot judge you. So concerning your life and your situation seek for God's wisdom and follow it at all cost, so that you may succeed. Put your trust in the Lord, he can never leave you nor forsake you and he can never fail you, but only make you prosper and succeed in all that you lay your hands on. Sometimes it may tarry or take long and people around you may wonder why you are not getting results, but wait and search out God's wisdom, he is never late, but always on time. Search out wisdom and you will succeed at God's appointed time.

Proverbs 19:8 ~ Anyone who gets wisdom loves himself. Anyone who values understanding succeeds.

PRAYER
I pray for you, that you will be empowered to get wisdom, discernment and direction to search out the issues of life and solutions to the situations of your life. in Jesus Name. Do you feel like your life is over? Are you thinking nothing else can come out of your situations because you have tried everything you know to do and there is nothing more you can do. Are you getting older and life seems like it is closing in on you and you feel you still cannot make it or achieve your dreams? I have news for you! YES YOU CAN! As in Isaiah 65:8 says above that as juice is still found in the cluster(wineskin) of grapes that still produces wine, even when it looks like there is no more juice in it, and people say don't throw it out for there is still a blessing in it, so shall it be for you. Do not discard your dreams because you are getting older, there is still a blessing in you that can still bring those dreams to reality, God is saying to you, there is still a blessing in you. So do not loose hope, have faith, hold your head up and believe, that all things are possible for those that believe. God can still squeeze out some more blessings, breakthroughs and new dreams from your life.

He trusts me to take care of everything he owns. Genesis 39:8
 
The taunting question is can you be trusted? What is trust? According to the Mariam-Webster's dictionary,  Trust is a belief that someone or something is reliable, good, honest, effective, etc. So how  you know that you are reliable, good, honest and effective, is by the level of conviction that you have. A lot of people do not careless what lack of trust can do in their lives. They do whatever they want whenever and with whomever they please. In the scripture above, Joseph was the master caretaker of his master Portiphar. His wife took an interest in Joseph and wanted him for herself. David, with a high level of conviction and decency, refused her several times and said that in verse 9 "No one in this house is in a higher position than I am. My master hasn’t held anything back from me, except you. You are his wife. So how could I do an evil thing like that? How could I sin against God?”

That is the question I would like to pose to you, why would you do things that would make you sin against God. Why would you want to break the trust of those that care about you. Why would a spouse want to break the trust of the other. Once trust is broken in a relationship, it is by the grace of God that such relationship last. So what level of conviction do you have? Do you lie just to get what you want? Husbands do you break your wife's trust by having a relationship outside your marriage and wife's do you dishonor your husband because of a moment of vulnerability? In what ever you do, do not loose the trust that is bonding relationships together. Be honest and be the light in the midst of darkness. Choose to do what is right at all times and respect others by being honest. In doing so, you're increasing your value and and how you are being perceived.

This is Jesus speaking to his disciples, when he healed the blind man that was blind from birth that he is the light of the world. I don't know what you may be going through today or what your situation is, my prayer for you is that the Lord Jesus will be a light in the midst of your darkness. He will be a light in your home, in your marriage, in your finances, business and ministries, he will be a light in the life of your children and your family. As long as you make Jesus Christ your Lord, his light will surely shine over your life and your situation. Be blessed.

Everything is meaningless!” says the Teacher.“Everything is completely meaningless! Nothing has any meaning.” 3What does a man get for all of his work? Why does he work so hard on this earth? Ecclesiastes 1:2-3 (NIRV)

What is our purpose on planet earth. Why were we created to fill this earth. A few years ago something strange happened that caused me to stop and ponder and ask the questions WHY? Why are we here? What do we need to do to make our journey on this earth meaningful.? What do we need to do to make sure that when the time comes and the trumpet sounds, which we do not know the hour nor the day, that we are in right standing with God and that we will be heaven bound.

While I was still pondering on my thoughts, I began to read the book of Ecclesiastes. In the first chapter verse 2, says:"Meaningless! Meaningless!" says the Teacher. "Utterly meaningless! Everything is meaningless." What does the writer mean I wonder? Meaningless? Why is everything we do in life so meaningless. Why do we work so hard and toil so much one day only to do the same the next day. Why do we chase after material things. Why fight and argue with one another? Why do we scheme to get things? Why do we worry and fret? Why? Why? Why?!

I came to the conclusion as describe by the writer of Ecclesiastes 1 that all things revolve and all this will continue to do so. But a little dose of the following might make a difference in how you live your life and who knows might unfold the mystery and help you along the way of this meaningless life.....

1. Love the lord with all your heart, soul and spirit - Life without God is meaningless
2. Be prayerful- Pray in season and out of season.
3. Be thankful at all times - be thankful that you are alive and for everything else.
4. Forgive, keep your heart pure and be gracious to all people
5. Be about the father's business, touch someone's life daily with Jesus' love
6. Work hard and enjoy the fruit of your labor. It is good and proper for a man to eat and drink and to find satisfactionin his labor.
7. Be obedient - To obey is better than sacrifice, do what the word says and heed to instructions from God, you never know you may be saving a life.
8. Give of your time and your resources - Be a blessing to those around you, be generous and not grumble.
9. Have a good attitude - Say something nice to someone, you never know you may just make their day. A little compliment goes a long way!
10.Whatever your hands find to do, do it with all your heart.

Love with all your heart, work with all your heart. Remember the race is not to the swift nor the battle to the strong........but time and chance happens to us all.

Enjoy your your life now while you are in this meaningless world.

PRAYER
Almighty God, I thank you for my life and for those of my loved ones. Help me to daily live my life focused on what is important to you. Reveal to me what my purpose in life is and let me begin to walk in line with my purpose in Jesus Name.

JOURNAL
Ponder on the list above and take steps daily to achieve some. Write down your those things that may seem meaningless to you. Begin to make a list of what to eliminate from you life that may be clogging your purpose.

When you set out to do a task, do you ever pause to seek out your intentions and the motives behind your decision to embark on the venture? Do you ever wonder why you are embarking on such plans. When you set out to plan a task, is it because you want to make a statement, or to get noticed? Do you do what you do from good intentions of your heart where the end product is to make a difference? Do you make plans that will lead you to the next big thing in your life, or could it be plans that will lead to failure? What are the intentions and motives behind everything that you do?

If your intentions and motives are good and in sync with God's will, your plans will definitely be successful, but if your intentions are wacky and your motives are impure, then expect to fail. Intentions and motives go hand in hand. You cannot have one without the other. Make sure your intentions are pure to give you a hope and an expected end. 

If you have a plan in the works, stop and pause for a moment and evaluate your motives and your intentions. Could you be responding or motivated by a positive or negative emotions or desires? Remember that if your motives are in line with the will of God it will succeed. So remember to always commit your plans unto the Lord daily in prayer.

PRAYER
Almighty God, I humble myself before you today. Help me to search my heart for anything that I may be doing with wrong motives, give me the strength and ability to be able to correct them. I promise to trust in you and not lean on my own understanding, but trusting that when I bring my plans, you will lead me and direct me and make my paths straight and successful, in Jesus name, Amen

Identify those areas of your life where you have used bad judgement, write in your journal ways to make amends to those decisions you made with wrong intentions.





]]><![CDATA[Love Unconditionally]]>Thu, 17 Apr 2014 06:35:03 GMThttps://www.shadesinspirationcorner.com/blog/april-14th-2014 Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law. 9 The commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not covet,” and whatever other command there may be, are summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”  10 Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law. Roman 13:8-10 (NIV)

The scriptures clearly states it very simply, "Love your neighbour as yourself". We all know that some people can be so hard to love, even when you try your best to love them. You give your heart and your all, yet all your acts of love and compassion may be misunderstood as being nosy or as some would say too overwhelming. But the scripture is clear to say that, "love is patient, love is kind and love sees no faults" 1 Corinthians 13:4-13.

So to love your neighbor as yourself, you have to endeavor to close your eyes to their many faults and embrace them with the agape love of God. We are to love our enemies and those that spitefully use us. This can also be hard to do especially when you have been hurt badly by an individual that you trust, but  remember that love should give no records of those things others have done. 1 Corinthians 13:5  And the fear that you feel from the wound and pain of past hurts, the scriptures say that perfect love cast out all fear. So why be afraid to love? Why be afraid to give your all to others as commanded by God? Verse 8 of Romans 13 says that no debt should be outstanding except for the continuing debt to love one another. Love is a debt that we have do take care of on a daily basis.

"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres." (1 Corinthians 13:4-7)  Just as you love yourself to protect your interest, so also you should love others and protect their good interest. If we say we have faith and have not exercised our love muscles then all that we do is simply put, fake. To love others is to be tolerant.

For God so loved the world that he gave His only son, so that we may have life and have it more abundantly. So what excuse do we have, if God can give us the life of his son by sacrificing him on the cross to free us from sin and death, the only pay back for that is to in turn love others.

PRAYER
Almighty God, today I humble myself and ask for mercy for those areas of my life where I have not shown love to those that surround me the way you have commanded. Forgive me for keeping a record of others faults. Help me from today to see beyond the wrong that has been done to me and help me to begin to love unconditionally with the agape love of God, in Jesus Name. Amen

JOURNAL
Make a list of those that have wronged you and what it is that they have done that has affected the way you love and perceive others, present them to God in prayer. Release all the hurt and pain in those areas that you have listed and ask the Holy Spirit fill the vacuum that the hurt has left behind with the agape love of God and don't go back to revisit them again. 




]]><![CDATA[In Quietness And Confidence...]]>Tue, 15 Apr 2014 06:31:06 GMThttps://www.shadesinspirationcorner.com/blog/in-quietness-and-confidenceThis is what the Sovereign Lord, the Holy One of Israel, says: “In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength, but you would have none of it.  Isaiah 30:15 (NIV)

Repentance and rest is your salvation, that is what the scripture above reminds us. We all at sometime go through periods in our lives where we are worried, stressed and discouraged. At those times we begin to fret over little things, in the midst of that, some may fall into sin and make mistakes that eventually will take away the strength that God has freely given.  I want to encourage you today to learn to rest in the Lord. When you feel that situations surrounding you  cause you to be anxious, take a moment, pause say a little prayer and seek the Lord for His peace and direction. Most of all seek to know what God wants you to learn in the situation. A moment of pause and stillness, and you would be surprised how things can turn around. When you have done all that you know to do, be still.

Exodus 14:13-14 "And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will shew to you today: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen today, ye shall see them again no more for ever.  14 The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace." Moses told the Israelites to stand still when they started to be afraid of the Egyptians that were pursuing them at the red sea. Moses, having the presence of God in him knew that worrying and fretting about the multitude of the Egyptian army behind them was not going to help them. He told the people to stand still and that the Egyptians that was making them afraid they would see no more. And if you read the story you would see that when God intervened, the whole of the Egyptian army drowned and where never to be seen again. The same will be your story, that all those situations that causes your heart to fear and worry, you will no longer see them again. BE STILL AND KNOW THAT GOD IS STILL GOD!

Take sometime today to rest in the Lord as the scripture says that, " in quietness and confidence shall be your strength". Have a quiet moment with Him who knows all things and can do all things and he will increase you spirit, soul and body. When you are whole, you are confident. It is at this quiet moments that God gives direction and resolution to situations. You cannot hear God when everything is loud and distracting. But in a still and quiet place, God intervenes, speaks, instruct and directs.

PRAYER
Lord, today help me to be still before you that I may renew my strength and confidence in you. Teach me what I need to know to be successful in life. As I lay quietly before you, letting go of everything, reveal to me those areas of my life where I need to be still and wait for your timing for my breakthroughs, where I need to move and step out of the way for you to take control, in Jesus Name.

JOURNAL
Today, write in your journal those situations and areas of your life that you have been worried about and trying to make things happen on your own, take it to your quiet place and share then with God, you never know, the God of breakthrough may whisper your solutions.

]]><![CDATA[The Spirit, The Water And The Blood - Part 1           The Spirit]]>Fri, 11 Apr 2014 07:23:23 GMThttps://www.shadesinspirationcorner.com/blog/the-spirit-the-water-and-the-blood-part-1-the-spirit For there are three that testify: 8 the Spirit, the water and the blood; and the three are in agreement. 1 John 5:7-8 (NIV)

The scripture above says "that are three that bear witness about Jesus, the spirit, the water and his blood", this is the authenticity of Christ. No one can be more authentic than that. When the president of the United States of America goes anywhere there is a seal that authenticates his office. Anywhere this seal is seen or presented it sure commands respect. So also the spirit, the water and the blood commands the authority that Jesus has. When this three power seals are presented in the kindom of darkness, it sure commands power that darkness cannot comprehend.

The Spirit
In Genesis, the first mention of the Spirit was in Genesis 1:2 , which says, “The earth didn’t have any shape. And it was empty. Darkness was over the surface of the ocean. At that time, the ocean covered the earth. The Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.”  when the earth was without form the spirit of the Lord was available to start the work of the creation. When God created man, he created him in his own image.

Fast forward, there have been mentions of people in the scripture that God had placed his spirit upon to do great and mighty things. But non can compare to that which he announced when Jesus was baptized. The book of Matthew 3:16 says, “As soon as Jesus was baptized, he came up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened. Jesus saw the Spirit of God coming down on him like a dove.” and he was announced in verse 17, "A voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, and I love him. I am very pleased with him.” May the Lord be pleased with us all. 

When God announced Jesus, His spirit descended on Him and gave him power and the authority for the work that he was commissioned to do. He began healing the sick, raising the dead, setting captives free and preaching the good news. God's, spirit empowered him to do all the miraculous deeds that he performed.

What are the artributes of the spirit of God in the life of a person.

  • Holy Spirit gives power - empowers to do great and mighty things

  • It gives wisdom, knowledge and understanding

  • It gives boldness - to do what you cannot normally do on your own

  • It gives direction, leading us aright
How do you receive the spirit of God? The scriptures tells us in Acts 2:17 that the Lord will pour out His Spirit upon all people, verse 18 further says, "...and they will prophecy. When Jesus ascended to heaven He told his disciples that he would send them a helper in the form of the holy spirit which they received in Acts 2, "When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. 2 Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3 They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. 4 All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues, as the Spirit enabled them." To daily receive the fullness of the Holy spirit you have to remain in God's presence seeking him through prayer and reading the word.

PRAYER
Lord I pray that the holy spirit will rest upon every area of your life today and that you may receive power to accomplish your purpose in life, in Jesus Name

Do you always trust people to do things for you or to make something happen for you? If that is the case, you have to stop and start trusting in God for everything. You have to begin to trust in the Lord and not in people. You have to trust in the Lord and not lean on your own understanding and trying to make things happen in your own superficial way. You have to remember that God makes all things beautiful in his own time.

The scripture today says, "better to trust in the Lord than to put your trust or confidence in man." Man can fail you, man can hurt you physically, man can hurt your feelings and disappoint you and judge you and condemn you. But God can never disappoint you. What have you got to loose in trusting him, nothing.

You may be going through a situation in your life physically, spiritually or financially, whatever it may be, trust in the Almighty God and he will show himself strong in your situation. Take your mind off your situation and focus on being in his presence and trusting him. He will begin to lead you and direct you to your solution when you are in sync with the spirit of God. Listen to his directions and be obedient to his leading to your breakthrough.


Like the song says, "Trust and obey for there is no other way, to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey."


PRAYER
Lord today, help me to trust in you and not lean on my own understanding. Let me in all my ways acknowledge you and not look unto man, but trust you and only you for my sustenance and well being, in Jesus name, Amen.

JOURNAL
Take an inventory of situations in your life where you have sought people for solutions first instead of seeking God first in prayer for a solution. Repent and see how you would have approached those situations trusting in God.

(Proverbs 10:31 MSG)

What is a Swamp? A swamp according to Dictionary.com is "a tract of wet, spongy land, often having a growth of certain types of trees and other vegetation, but unfit for cultivation."  It is also a place where it's water never really drain well and because of this reason, the water becomes mucky and smelly. The scripture above characterizes a person with a foul mouth, "a stagnant swamp". Who is a person with a foul mouth, it is someone that curse all the time, speaks and confesses only negative words. The scripture characterizing a person with a foul mouth a swamp is accurate. Why? The person that constantly speaks negative words cannot move forward much in life, because they are constantly seeing the worst and confessing only negative and defeating words, which will eventually manifest itself as delay and setbacks in the long run.



However, a good person's mouth is a clear fountain of wisdom. How you speak concerning your life, your children, your marriage, your home and situations matters a lot. Do you speak life or death? We all are guilty of speaking negatively occasionally, but when it becomes constant, one needs to check oneself, make amends and begin to speak positively. Choose to speak and see the good in every situation no matter how ugly it may seem.

Ask yourself, are you a clear fountain of wisdom or are you a stagnant swamp? A fountain flows, it is fresh and it never ceases, neither is it stagnant. Today, make up your mind and be determined to begin to speak life to your life and situation, let your words be one that flows with encouragement and positivity towards yourself, your situations and to others. Verse 32 of Proverbs says, "the speech of a good person clears the air; the words of the wicked pollute it." Which would you choose? Are you going to be a person that walks in and commands the room with positivity and make everyone around you comfortable and motivated or are you going to be one that pollutes it.

When you cultivate this habit of being positive, everything around you that is negative will no longer affect you. Be determined and I am sure all will go well with you.

PRAYER
Lord make my mouth a fountain of wisdom, and if there is any area of my life and communications that are swampy, I ask that the holy spirit that teaches all things would teach me how to speak and how to hold my tongue to speak less and listen more, in Jesus Name, Amen.

In your journal today, write down those areas where you feel you have been negative and what you would do to correct them.

As I read this scripture, I recall a story of a couple who were constantly arguing because of lack of trust. The wife believes that the husband is unfaithful and is constantly lying. After so many conflicts they went for counseling and the husband was asked, why he feels he has to lie to his wife, he said, any time he lies, he is trying to protect the wife from getting hurt.

This is craziness! How can a couple argue about trust issues and one of them still feels that they have to lie to protect the other. Protection is good, but the lying I am not so sure. The scriptures tells us in Proverbs 14:8, that, the wise will give thought to his ways. If the husband in question above, checks the way he is living, and seek to gain his wife's trust, I am so sure that things would have gotten better.

Let's look at the case of Joseph and Potiphar’s wife in  (Genesis 39:7-20). Potiphar's wife asked Joseph to defile his master's bed several times but Joseph being a man that feared God and understood the meaning of trust, rejected her over and over again. Potiphar had placed his whole life in his hands by trusting him with everything that he had except for his wife.  His response to this woman was, "..So how could I do an evil thing like that? How could I sin against God?” Because Joseph was wise, he resisted all the advances of his master's wife. I repeat because Joseph was WISE he resisted all the advances and fled from the woman's presence. What if Joseph had defiled his masters bed and then when his master returns he lies about it over and over again. Proverbs 14:8 (NIRV) further says that the foolishness of fools (NIV version) is deception. Joseph did his best not to fall into the deception of this woman. However she lied and it ended Joseph in Jail. Folks Lying about a situation calls for even more lying because you would want to cover up the last lie that you told and the process continues on. Such behavior would eventually hurt those we love and most of all oneself in the long run. Heed the word of the Lord and  give thought to your ways, speak the truth in love and not deceive in an attempt to please anyone.

PRAYER
Lord, today help me to speak the truth in love always. Help me not to fall into the deception and plots of lying to be recognized or to please people. Help me to always heed my ways and obey your word, in Jesus name.

JOURNAL
Look into your life and see if there is any area where you have been deceptive to yourself and to others, ask for forgiveness and take necessary steps to correct the wrong.

Some over-confident people have no form of humility whatsoever. In order not to fall into this trap of the enemy, you have to learn to put your confidence in the Lord. Humble yourself in the Lord no matter what your title or position in life may be. HUMBLE YOURSELF!  The scripture above says that if you are around someone who is over confident, you would find out that they only believe only what they want to believe and you would not find any wise words coming from their lips but foolishness. What can you do in such cases but to respect their views, however separate yourself from such people lest you be polluted by their foolishness. There is an adage that says, "show we your friend and I will tell you who you are."

When you are overconfident, you misjudge your value, opinion, beliefs or abilities and you have more confidence than you should given the objective parameters of the situation. You do not want to be classified as foolish because you are confident. Having confidence is a good thing, at least that is what some of us are taught, however, having confidence with humility is even more powerful. Trusting in the Lord and not in oneself is great gain.

PRAYER
Lord I pray that you will help me to be more humble in all my dealings and help me not to trust in my own abilities and understanding, but to trust only in you. Today I put my confidence in you that you may glorify yourself in my life. in Jesus Name.

JOURNAL
Think about areas of your life where you may find yourself lacking humility, make necessary adjustments and begin to humble yourself. Learn to talk lesser than normal and cultivate the habit of listening.

But a wise person listens to advice. 16 Foolish people are easily upset. But wise people pay no attention to hurtful words.  Proverbs 12:15-16 (NIRV)

There are so many key points locked in these two scripture verses. Verse 15 says, the way of a fool is right in his own eyes. Think about it for a minute. Have you found yourself in situations where you do not know what to do to get a solution? You have tried everything but nothing seems to be working. You were advised to switch gears and do things differently, yet you insist on your own way. You say my way is better, when you know full well that you have tried everything and nothing seem to be working. Here the writer of this scripture says being right in your own eyes is foolish, but the he who heeds and listens to good and godly council is wise.

You may be going through a similar situation as described, perhaps you are always angry when corrected and you are very stubborn, always saying my way or no way, I want you to pause and rethink your decisions, be wise, seek council and heed to it. You must be wise in all your dealings.

PRAYER
Lord, Let me not be wise in my own eyes, but let me be filled with wisdom to know the right steps to take. Help me to always walk according to your will and your purpose. I pray that you will help me to daily seek good and Godly council and the grace the heed to it, in Jesus Name.

JOURNAL
In your journal today, write down a situation that you may be going through, that you have not sought good council, or where you may have been stubborn and not listen to reason. Write down what you are feeling about the advise you have received in the past and seek out a solution using the many council you have received. If you have not sought council ever before, well be wise, today is a new day to rise above anger and  foolishness and seek help.

Are you a person that likes to argue blindly and so stuck in your ways? Are you a "my way or no way" stubborn person? The scriptures is so straightly forward, it says if you are hot headed you are a fool. No one wants to be called a fool. No one wants to feel secure in foolishness either. But sometimes one can find oneself in such positions.

"The wise fear the Lord and shun evil, but a fool is hotheaded and yet feels secure."
(Proverbs 14:16 NIV)

So what do you do to avoid being labelled a fool.
  • Be wise and avoid any situation that can make you look foolish.
  • Be intentional about your actions and responses, making sure that they are always good, positive, and wise choices.
  • Be teachable and be ready for change.
  • Let go sometimes and not always want to have the final word. The scriptures says that we should have nothing to do with godless and ignorant conversations reduce your conversations to a minimum and speak when necessary.

"Turn away from godless chatter. Stay away from opposing ideas that are falsely called knowledge.
(1 Timothy 6:20 NIRV). Be Wise

PRAYER
Lord, help me to refrain from anything that causes me to be secure in foolishness. Make me teachable, wise and be ready for change with a positive attitude.

JOURNAL
In your journal, write out those areas where you feel you need to check yourself and make changes to the way you act and respond to situations and people. If you always make the right choices write it down and celebrate yourself. If you do not, well be determined to working towards making positive changes starting from today.

Who are his people? We are! But how do you get this peace that God has promised? How do you stay in this peace that the Lord has promised to his faithful servants? The way you have this peace is by trusting in God  and by listening to what he has to say. Listen to that still small voice of conviction, that leads you on the right path to peace.

Prayer: Lord today help me to listen to what you have to say that I amy have your peace. Help me be obedient to your voice and grace to hear that still small voice that leads and directs. Take me away from the path of foolishness in Jesus Name.
